Poor Oral Hygiene
Possible problems to teeth with poor oral hygiene and eating too much sugars or drinking too much sodas:
- Gingival inflammation: Swollen gums and bleeding with poor flossing and brushing
- Decalcification: Formation of permanent white spots on teeth around the margin of braces (or brackets)
- Cavity: A pitted area or hole in a tooth caused by bacteria and sugar
